Publication of "International Politics and Political Parties: Perceptions of Kosovo citizens"

On 2nd of April Prishtina Institute for Political Studies published the annual survey “International Politics and Political Parties: Perceptions of Kosovo citizens”. The survey was published through the support of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). The panel of the event consisted of Leonora Kryeziu (PIPS Executive Director), Granit Tërnava (KAS), Arben Hajrullahu (University of Prishtina) and Butrint Berisha (PIPS).

On 21 March 2019, the Pristina School for Political Studies held a discussion with the Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Prishtina, Mrs. Colleen Hyland. Participants had a fruitful discussion during which they shared their thoughts on the current main challenges of Kosovo in the local and international context.

On 14 March 2019, Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS), Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) and GAP Institute have held a round-table discussion on "Implementation of the European Reform Agenda (ERA)" and expectations for ERA 2". Our panelists were Dhurata Hoxha - Minister of European Integration, Nataliya Apostolova - Head of EU Office in Kosovo and Gerrie Willems - Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kosovo.

Prishtina School for Political Studies holds the first Seminar "State and Society" for the 2019 cohort

During 1-3rd of March, the 17th Generation of School for Political Studies held its first Module State and Society: Identity, Governance and Political Order. The lecturers of the Seminar were: Fatmir Sejdiu, Fisnik Korenica, Ermal Hasimja, Blerim Shala, Anton Vukpalaj, Blendi Ceka, Ramadan Ilazi and Besnik Tahiri.

Kosovar MPs and School for Political Studies take part in the 3rd SEE Parliamentary Forum on EE and Climate

Delegation of Kosovar MPs - represented by Ms. Sala Berisha Shala and Ms. Hykmete Bajrami, and Prishtina Institute for Political Studies - represented by Ms. Leonora Kryeziu attended the 3rd SEE Parliamentary Forum on Energy Efficiency and Climate organized by GIZ Open Regional Fund for South-East Europe - Energy Efficiency. This meeting was held in Brussels on 19 February, simultaneously with the Energy Community Parliamentary Plenum.

On July 7, the Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) published the policy analysis "Rationalization of Independent Agencies and Regulators in Kosovo". The analysis drafted after a period of several months of research provides an overview of the current situation of public administration reform, namely the implementation of the rationalization of independent, executive and regulatory agencies.

OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOOL FOR POLITICAL STUDIES 2021

Prishtina School for Political Studies has opened the call for application for the admission of candidates for the nineteenth generation (19).

School for Political Studies is one of the first non-formal political education programs in Kosovo and the oldest program that is still active. School for Political Studies has been implemented by the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies since 2003 through the support of the Council of Europe.

The aim of the program is to promote a new political culture for young leaders in line with the three key principles of the Council of Europe: democracy, rule of law and human rights. Throughout a year 30 participants coming from political parties, media, civil society, public administration etc. have the opportunity to attend modules with lectures from eminent local and international speakers. The program is currently implemented in 22 different countries around the world and graduates are certified by the Council of Europe and the Secretary General of this organization.
