First Seminar of the School of Politics – Three-Day Recap
The first seminar of the School of Politics, which focused on Kosovo, democracy, and statehood in a changing geopolitical order, has successfully concluded.
Day 1 set the stage by exploring the global and regional context, from shifts in the world order and their implications for the Western Balkans and Kosovo, to the role of transatlantic relations and the growing pressures on democracy, including populism and political polarization.
Day 2 turned to Kosovo’s own political journey, from state-building to current democratic challenges. Discussions focused on institutional performance, public trust, and the risks that political polarization poses to democratic dialogue and social cohesion.
Day 3 looked ahead, addressing human and minority rights as a pillar of statehood and European integration, as well as the role of constitutional mechanisms in ensuring institutional stability and strengthening democratic resilience.
A special thank you to our contributors and lecturers — Dr. Gëzim Visoka, Mr. Agon Maliqi, Mr. Adri Nurellari, Dr. Ramadan Ilazi, Ms. MaryAnne Hennessey, Mr. Miodrag Milicevic, and Ms. Gresa Caka Nimani — as well as all partners and participants for an engaging and insightful weekend.
The School of Politics is supported by the Council of Europe, Demo Finland, and the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung Kosovo.

Prvi seminar Škole politike – pregled tri dana
Posebna zahvalnost našim predavačima i saradnicima — dr Gezim Visoka, g. Agon Maliqi, g. Adri Nurellari, dr Ramadan Ilazi, gđa MaryAnne Hennessey, g. Miodrag Milicevic i gđa Gresa Caka Nimani — kao i svim partnerima i učesnicima na inspirativnom i sadržajnom vikendu.
Politicku Školu podržavaju Savet Evrope, Demo Finska i Fondacija Konrad-Adenauer Kosovo.
