PIPS participated in the 2nd South-East Europe Parliamentary Forum on Energy Efficiency and Climate, held on 27 November in Skopje, organized by GIZ Open Regional Fund for South-East Europe - Energy Efficiency. MPs and representatives of civil society from 6 countries of the region participated in the Forum.
The Forum consisted of a presentation and discussion about energy poverty and presentations of MPs regarding progress in the energy field within the respective parliaments.
The Forum was organized for the first time in 2017 at the Energy Community as an exchange platform between MPs, parliamentary staff and Schools for Political Studies from these countries. Namely, in Kosovo, PIPS continues its close cooperation with the Committee for Economic Development, Trade, Industry, Infrastructure and Regional Development.
During the Forum, the Chairperson of this Committee, Ms. Sala Berisha Shala, presented the work of the Committee on the new Law on Energy Efficiency, adopted on 2 October 2018 by the Assembly of Kosovo.
