Roundtable discussion "EU integration process for Kosovo: Where does this process currently stand?"

On 3rd of November, PIPS and GLPS organized the roundtable: EU integration process for Kosovo: Where does this process currently stand? GLPS also published the policy-analysis: “Kosovo, EU Integration and SAA: An Analysis on the Perceptions of the Citizens”.
The panel consisted of: Albana MERJA (GLPS), Blerta DELIU-KODRA (Head of the Committee for European Integration), Ilir DEDA (Member of the Committee for European Integration), Glauk KONJUFCA (Member of the Committee for European Integration), Ahmet ISUFI (Member of the Committee for European Integration) and Gerrie WILLEMS (Ambassador of Netherlands in Kosovo).
This roundtable was the last event of the project EU-Kosovo-SAA (Our Contract for the Future), implemented by Prishtina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) and Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), supported by the Royal Embassy of Netherland in Kosovo.

Publication and discussion event on Rationalization of Independent Agencies and Regulators in Kosovo

On July 7, the Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) published the policy analysis "Rationalization of Independent Agencies and Regulators in Kosovo". The analysis drafted after a period of several months of research provides an overview of the current situation of public administration reform, namely the implementation of the rationalization of independent, executive and regulatory agencies.

Discussion and publication of the analysis on the second phase of rationalization of agencies and regulators in Kosovo

On November 25, PIPS published the analysis on the second phase of rationalization of agencies and regulators in Kosovo. Together with representatives from key institutions involved in this reform - the assembly, the ministry of public administration and the agencies we discussed the opportunities for the second phase.

As part of the political priorities agreed between Kosovo and the EU in 2016, for the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, the implementation of the first phase of this reform has not been completed, and consequently there are delays in the implementation of the second phase, which according to the action plan for the implementation of the whole reform, was intended to be completed by the end of this year.
