During this weekend, from 4th to 6th October, the 5th seminar took place, marking the final seminar for the 22nd generation of the PIPS School of Politics. The theme of this seminar was "Political Communication, Disinformation, and Participation," which focused more on group work and practical topics.
On Saturday, engaging discussions were held, focusing on strategies and messaging for political campaigns, under the guidance of Mr. Neritan Sejamini. The seminar continued on Sunday with a lecture by Mr. Shkëlzen Osmani and Mr. Festim Rizanaj from Hibrid.info, who shared in-depth knowledge about disinformation in the digital age, providing concrete examples and strategies on how to combat this phenomenon. In the afternoon session, populism as a form of political communication was explored by Mr. Agon Maliqi, with particular emphasis on the challenges it poses to democracy. This discussion was followed by Mr. Valon Kurhasani, who highlighted the role of political parties as catalysts for citizen engagement.
