On 23 May 2018, Prishtina Institute for Political Studies organized the thematic round-table on "Kosovo’s Membership into International Organizations: Council of Europe and INTERPOL". The panel of this round-table consisted of: Robert MUHARREMI (Researcher on International Relations), Veton ELSHANI (Head of Working Group for Membership in INTERPOL), Glauk KONJUFCA (MP/ Ex member of Kosovo Delegation in CoE), Gjylieta MUSHKOLAJ (Professor at University of Prishtina).

The panel of this round-table consisted of: Behgjet PACOLLI (Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo), Vjosa OSMANI (Chair of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Diaspora and Strategic Investment), Ardian ARIFAJ (Advisor to Kosovo President), Lulzim PECI (KIPRED Institute) Ruairi O'CONNELL (Ambassador of United Kingdom to Kosovo).

Second Seminar of SPS "State as the Fundamental Framework of Governability: the Politics of Public Policies"

Prishtina School for Political Studies held the second seminar (20-22 April) on "State as the Fundamental Framework of Governability: The Politics of Public Policies". This seminar explored the current context of the relationship between politics and public policy, especially in relation to Kosovo's development and state-building process.

OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOOL FOR POLITICAL STUDIES 2021

1 December 2020

Prishtina School for Political Studies has opened the call for application for the admission of candidates for the nineteenth generation (19).

School for Political Studies is one of the first non-formal political education programs in Kosovo and the oldest program that is still active. School for Political Studies has been implemented by the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies since 2003 through the support of the Council of Europe.

The aim of the program is to promote a new political culture for young leaders in line with the three key principles of the Council of Europe: democracy, rule of law and human rights. Throughout a year 30 participants coming from political parties, media, civil society, public administration etc. have the opportunity to attend modules with lectures from eminent local and international speakers. The program is currently implemented in 22 different countries around the world and graduates are certified by the Council of Europe and the Secretary General of this organization.

The roundtable ‘Prospects of Kosovo membership to Council of Europe’ was held today. The goal of this roundtable was discussing the Kosovo membership to Council of Europe. Present in the roundtable were: Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga, ex Foreign Affairs Minister Enver Hoxhaj, Human Rights Expert Gjylieta Mushkolaj and Fisnik Korenica Expert of law.

On 14 March 2019, Pristina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS), Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) and GAP Institute have held a round-table discussion on "Implementation of the European Reform Agenda (ERA)" and expectations for ERA 2". Our panelists were Dhurata Hoxha - Minister of European Integration, Nataliya Apostolova - Head of EU Office in Kosovo and Gerrie Willems - Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kosovo.
